There has been so much immediate reaction to the horible tragedy that has struck our Country that I am deeply alarmed. I'm sure it was to be expected, but I trust that cooler heads will prevail. What I have heard is that this terrorist attack calls for WAR - WORLD WAR III, If you please. Haven't we learned anything from our previous wars, to know that they never solve anything and end up with more dead and wounded than we now are experiencing. Let's be reasonable and sane throughout this emergency and not do anything out of hate and rage. There is NO WAY TO GET EVEN even if we tried.
Sure, we can bomb other countries that have harbor- ed terrorists and kill many other innocent victims. But what will that do outside of satisfy our egos to get even? Let's have cooler heads prevail and not even think of starting another WAR!
I can't imagine Christians thinking of such retaliation.
Jesus told us to turn the other cheek. To not even attempt to get even. We are to love those who despite- fully use us and return good for evil.
I implore everyone who desires safe and sane responses to this tragedy to encourage everyone you can to keep HATE AND RAGE out of this event.
